BUSTING SOME BEAUTY MYTHS💥| MYTH or TRUTH |

Here I am gonna discuss about few beauty myths that had come a long way, and we have believed them without even questioning or knowing the logic behind them.

So basically MYTH is an idea or story which many people think to be true but that does not exist or is false.
There are a lot of beauty myths that exist out there and it is impossible for me to bust them all at once. So I am gonna go with the popular ones first.

There would be around 5 myths that I am going to talk about in this blog post, and I would suggest you all to please stop believing these myths if you already doing so then its great.

MYTH NO. 1

 MYTH

 TRUTH

Don't pull grey hairs out or more will grow back.

Only that hair will grow back again into a grey one, no new hair will turn grey.

FURTHER EXPLAINED - Pulling or plucking grey hairs will only get those hairs to grow back as grey ones at that place only because their follicles' pigment cells had died. The surrounding hairs will not be affected until and unless their pigment cell dies.

MYTH NO. 2

 MYTH

 TRUTH

Shaving will make your hair grow back thicker and darker.

Shaving gives the hair a blunt tip that is coarse and might appear darker or thicker at first, but it is not.

FURTHER EXPLAINED - Shaving has nothing to do with the thickness, color, texture, or the rate of growth. This misconception was resolved in 1928 but the myth still lives on, even almost 100 years after. When hairs start growing, they may look and feel thicker due to their blunt tips from where the razor cut those hairs, but they aren't. Once the hairs are fully grown, they will feel and look as they were earlier.

MYTH NO. 3

 MYTH

 TRUTH

Pores can open or close.

Pores don't have muscles around their opening which lets them open or close.

FURTHER EXPLAINED - Our pores don't have that mechanism or involuntary muscles to open or close them by any stimuli, however, their size can fluctuate. Steaming helps to loosen up the dirt and blackheads, so they can easily be removed. Sebum is a wax-like consistency when warmth melts the oil in the pores and coldness solidifies it.

MYTH NO. 4

 MYTH

 TRUTH

Don't use facial oil if you have oily skin

Instead, facial oils have a lot of benefits and soothing properties for both oily and dry skin.

FURTHER EXPLAINED - Facial oils contain a lot of vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants. They all are good for oily and acne-prone skin. These oils help to heal, hydrate and protect your skin, even some facial oils help to balance the oil production.

MYTH NO. 5

 MYTH

 TRUTH

Trimming makes your hair grow faster.

Hair follicles determine hair growth.

FURTHER EXPLAINED - How often we cut our hair or how much doesn't have anything to do with hair growth. It is actually the hair follicles in our roots that determines how fast hair will grow. Trimming the tips will only help to remove the split ends and prevent hair damage.

There were myths that I have also believed for a very long time without even asking myself- why I am doing this?
Some myths come from our mother and grandmothers and we have to believe them coz why not, but the time has arrived, we have to bust these myths now and follow the fact.
So I guess this will help you all at someplace. Myths are always there and would spread like the flu but we have to think before or would ask ourselves before following them and should always do research before believing anything.
